Just at the beginning of 2007 Chengdu recruitment for Idol Musical of My Show, the sponsor disclosed a good news: the shrine of American musicals--Broadway extends oliver branch, commissions its agency company to negotiate with My Show and reaches a primary consensus on cooperation. Broadway expresses that they are willing to send musical tutors from America and help train My Show performers, send art consultants with experiences, and may send the original Broadway musical staff to shape the Idol Musical of My Show national tour.

It is disclosed that as early as the launch of My Show, it attracted Broadway with its concept of fashionable Idol Musical. Broadway immediately inquired about cooperative potential through seniors from Chinese musical circle. The agency company of its biggest performance institution, Nederlander secretly contacted My Show sponsor few days ago, and discussed about cooperation.
The sponsor of My Show disclosed that the resent negotiation reached primary cooperative intents: ¡°Both parties are on further discussion. Our present intents include training, composition, tour performance and otherwise of My Show musicals.¡± Relevant personnel from My Show state optimistically: ¡°If the cooperation comes to a success, we will have a larger and stronger team of tutors, for instance, Broadway will send us professional tutors and experts to train the cast members of My Show musical, bringing rich and advanced experiences. The tutors have directed such classic Broadway musicals as the Cats and Hunchback of Notre Dame.¡±
My Show musical highlights original and local style
Before that, the sponsor of My Show has been always emphasizing building a ¡°Idol Musical of My Show itself¡± rather than the High Musicals of Broadway. Is it a ¡°self negative¡± in case of a successful cooperation with Broadway? Producer Dai Zhongwei of My Show explains that it is a self promotion: ¡°Introduction of advanced experience and mode of performance from Broadway, as well as their professional training will accelerate our performers¡¯ improvement and maturity. It is not a self negative, but a promotion.¡± Mr. Dai also emphasizes: ¡°Introduction is on one hand, however, Idol Musical of My Show still highlights original and local style. Therefore, we still choose the music rich of young and fashionable elements, such as R&B, POP, ROCK and RAP.¡±
